Prince Should Have Had Acupuncture over Pain Pills for Chronic Pain (near Ramsey, MN)!
Dr. Drew, former addiction center doctor explains this EPIDEMIC of Addiction to PAIN PILLS.
“We CONSUME 80% of World’s Opioids; we represent 5% of the (world’s) population, we got a PROBLEM.”
-Dr. Drew
I think the news of Prince’s death due to opioid overdose hit us so hard because he was so knowingly against drug use and alcohol abuse.
It hit us hard because our image of a rock star who o.d.’s does not look like Prince. Prince was clean cut, articulate and took an anti-drugs stance.
He refused to hire anyone who used drugs. I have spoken with friends of mine who have worked with him in the past and he would always tell them he had a “no drugs” policy.
Opioids are drugs. We need to remember that.
If something works, we seem to think more will work better. It is a difficult and heart-breaking situation we are finding ourselves in, as a society. We need to take it serious.
What are alternatives to pain medications for pain relief?
Diet plays a role in inflammation and pain. Many of our patients have reduced their pain with the following:
-
Eating a gluten-free diet
-
Removing or reducing dairy
-
Adding tumeric
-
Removing or reducing refined sugar
We all know there is a HUGE problem with opioid addiction here. So, what can be done to AVOID becoming addicted to these pain meds? After all, most of us don’t start taking pain meds to become addicted or dependent on them. I certainly didn’t… it didn’t take me long before these pain medications stopped working for me…
…most of us don’t start taking pain meds to become addicted or dependent on them.
Doctors had no answers for me. This is a problem. We need answers to pain.
Luckily for me, I STOPPED. I stopped taking pills instead of upping the dose.
Luckily I was able to. The PAIN continued. SEVERE Pain. CHRONIC Pain. Eventually I stumbled upon ACUPUNCTURE and tried it, reluctantly. I was like most people who seek acupuncture medical treatment for chronic pain relief… I had exhausted all other options. It was a last resort…

How does Acupuncture Treat Pain?
-
Acupuncture stimulates powerful pain-killing and anti-inflammation substances by stimulating specific acupuncture points on meridian pathways.
-
Acupuncture stimulation communicates to the brain via the pituitary gland (master gland) which then communicates to the hypothalamus in the brain.
-
Acupuncture alters your brain’s response to pain.
Acupuncture induces a relaxation effect whereby:
-
contracted muscles relax
-
blood circulation increases
-
patients report feeling “relaxed” after acupuncture
…So, what are you waiting for?
